Manchester United are reportedly considering a move for 21-year-old American playmaker Taylor Booth.

According to Daily Mail, Premier League giants Manchester United are interested in signing 21-year-old Taylor Booth. Erik Ten Hag is believed to be a big fan of the young playmaker. The American is currently playing for Utrecht in the Dutch Eredivisie.

Taylor was a part of the Bayern Munich academy since the age of 17. But, last year he decided to leave the German giants for the Dutch outfit. Despite being given multiple contract extension offers, he decided to part ways with the club. And, he joined the Dutch club as a free agent.

However, after parting ways with Bayern, he had contract offers from multiple clubs from the top five leagues in Europe. But, the 21-year-old decided to join the Dutch league as he wanted to work on his technical abilities. He has had an impressive first half of the season and is already a fan favourite.

Meanwhile, in the ongoing season, the American playmaker has featured in 19 matches. He has been directly involved in five goals and apart from goal contribution his link-up play and distribution have been top-notch.

Booth was Eredivisie’s Player of the Month for November. The former Bayern Munich prospect has been making a name for himself by putting in great performances day in and day out. He is still relatively young, but his skillset suggests that he can make it big.

Erik ten Hag has strong connections with the Dutch side Utrecht having played and coached at the club. He is well-informed about the player’s potential and the abilities he possesses. As per the report, ten Hag is actively monitoring the player and wants him at United.

Manchester United are looking to add a few midfielders to their squad in the summer. Taylor Booth is a name on the list. Manchester United recently signed Marcel Sabitzer on loan from Bayern Munich to fill in for the injured Christian Eriksen.

However, they do not really have much quality in the centre of the pitch apart from their starters. Adding Booth and a few more to strengthen their squad looks like a logical decision.
