Arsenal might have found their goalscorer in on-loan sensation Folarin Balogun who has taken Ligue 1 by storm.

According to a report by Football Insider, Arsenal believe they have a £50 million-rated striker in Folarin Balogun. The England U21 striker who is currently on loan at Reims has stolen the limelight away from Kylian Mbappe after overtaking him as the league’s top goal scorer.

The Gunners are confident that the loaned-out player will soon be valued at over £50 million. The 21-year-old has earned plaudits from all over the globe because of his stunning hattrick on Wednesday. The Ligue 1 forward is now the league’s top-scorer ahead of Paris Saint-Germain’s big three, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe, and Neymar.

Folarin Balogun has featured in 20 league matches and has scored 14 goals in the ongoing season. He has been in sensational form in front of the goal. The young Arsenal player who is on loan at Reims has been a constant goal threat for the opposition and he has displayed some amazing skills so far this season.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have full faith in the England U21 forward’s potential. They are hoping to have him in their first team as a regular in the near future. Balogun has 10 Arsenal appearances to his name but only two have been as a starter.

His success in Ligue 1 has caught the attention of all the big clubs. And, quite a few of them are interested in having him at their club. The 21-year-old Gunners academy product’s performance in France has the fans excited. They are already awaiting his return to the club.

The Premier League leaders believe that Balogun’s value will sky-rocket in the coming months. If he continues to perform in a similar capacity, his valuation can even go beyond the £50 million mark. While there is a long way to go in the season, winning the golden foot in France ahead of Messi, Mbappe, and Neymar will be a great achievement, if indeed he can pull it off.

The young forward has worked his way through the ranks at the London-based club. He joined them back in 2017. Since his arrival, he has been on loan spells at two different clubs. His performances in the ongoing season at Reims indicate that he can be a key part of Arteta’s plans next season when he returns.
