Fulham have agreed on a deal with Torino for midfielder Sasa Lukic on a permanent transfer for a fee of €10 million.

Fulham have confirmed the signing of Sasa Lukic on a permanent transfer from Torino. The deal will cost the Cottagers €10 million, including add-ons. The midfielder has signed a long-term contract with the Premier League side until 2027, with the option of an additional season.

Marco Silva will be happy after his club’s dealing in this transfer window. Fulham wanted to strengthen in January and give themselves an able chance to make it into Europe next season. They are currently in a strong position on the table, and the manager wanted continuity.

After an impressive summer window upon Fulham’s return to the Premier League, they wanted to continue with the momentum in January. The summer signings have proved significantly important, while the winter window arrivals would add quality depth to the squad.

Fulham are also expecting to complete the loan signing of Cedric Soares from Arsenal. Before that, they announced the capture of Sasa Lukic from Torino. The midfielder will join on a four and half year deal with the option of another season.

Fulham will pay €10 million, including add-ons for the Serbian midfielder. The Cottagers have been interested in the player for many days now, but Torino wanted to bring in a replacement before allowing Lukic’s departure. They did so by signing Ivan Ilic, which opened the doors for his compatriot.

While Lukic is yet to arrive in England, this is what he had to say after completing the transfer. He said. “I’m very happy to have signed and to now be a part of Fulham’s squad. I can’t wait to get started and meet with the Head Coach, the players, and the staff, and I’m looking forward to training with them when I arrive in England.”

“I’ve seen Fulham play this season, and they’ve been playing very well. They have a good squad with a great history. “A lot of great players have played for the Club in its history, and they have a lot of great players currently, like my compatriot Aleksandar Mitrović.”

Lukic will prove a great addition to the Fulham team, who wanted a midfield cover for Joao Palhinha. The Serbian midfielder is potential not only an able deputy for the Portuguese midfielder but can also complement him in games.

Lukic will take a bit of time to adapt to Premier League conditions, but there is confidence he will prove a good addition. Fulham now have a good squad, and Silva could lead the Cottagers to a possible European finish.
