Chelsea wonderkid Jude Soonsup-Bell has completed a move across London to join Tottenham Hotspur, signing a deal until June 2025.
Tottenham Hotspur have made an official statement to confirm that they have secured the services of Jude Soonsup-Bell. The 19-year-old striker arrives at the north London club from Chelsea. And he has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract running until June 30, 2025.
Jude Soonsup-Bell started his youth career at Calne FC before joining Swindon Town. But he made significant progress when he joined Chelsea from Swindon in July 2015. And the teenage prodigy went from strength to strength in Chelsea’s famed academy in the last seven and a half years. He even made history by becoming the first Chelsea player in 59 years to score four goals in an FA Youth Cup game.
The 19-year-old made his first-team debut for Chelsea in December 2021 in the Carabao Cup versus Brentford. But that was his only outing for the Blues, instead featuring exclusively for their reserve side. However, Soonsup-Bell’s progress was clear for all to see, and Tottenham showed interest in him this month.
The interest from Tottenham is hardly surprising, considering how costly the strikers are in today’s market. And with almost every high-profile club in the market for a centre-forward, Tottenham did well to seek a clever solution. And Soonsup-Bell can learn the ropes from Harry Kane in training in the coming weeks and months.

But the former Chelsea wonderkid can become the long-term successor to Kane amid widespread speculation linking the Englishman with a summer move to Manchester United. For now, though, the 19-year-old will represent Tottenham’s reserve side in Premier League 2.
The north Londoners are struggling in Premier League 2 and can use a player like Soonsup-Bell. Meanwhile, the teenage wonderkid is not the only player who will likely join Tottenham ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline. They will also sign Pedro Porro from Sporting CP in the coming hours.
As for Soonsup-Bell, the youngster has signed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Tottenham. It will be interesting to see if he can continue his progress at the north London club and become a first-team regular in the coming years.
