Manchester United have reportedly reached an agreement with Bayern Munich for Marcel Sabitzer.
According to Sky Sports’ Florian Plettenberg on Twitter, Premier League giants Manchester United have secured the services of Bayern Munich star Marcel Sabitzer.
The Red Devils were forced to act quickly following the extent of Christian Eriksen’s injury. With much to play for this season, it was imperative that the club brought in the necessary reinforcements before the winter window slams shut.
It would appear that they have gone out and done just that. The 28-year-old has been struggling for regular game time at the Allianz Arena and has jumped at the chance to move to Old Trafford. The terms of the deal have already been agreed upon and the player will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Manchester United.
As things stand, Sabitzer is on his way to Old Trafford and should be unveiled as a Manchester United player soon unless there are any late hiccups. Premier League rivals Chelsea were also keen on the player. But the Red Devils appear to have won this round for now.

Brimming with quality and experience, Sabitzer is a more than adequate replacement for Eriksen. The Austrian’s arrival will give Casemiro some respite while also keeping Fred and Scott McTominay on their toes. At the very least, it gives Erin ten Hag a proven player to call upon as we enter the business end of the season.
For now, it remains unclear if the deal is purely one on loan and whether it includes an option to make it permanent in the summer. Either way, it is a win-win for both parties who could benefit massively from the move.
The game against Arsenal showed how a top-class midfielder can impact the Man United roster positively. Casemiro’s absence was acutely felt and the same can be said of Eriksen in the weeks to come. The Man United board have in recent years been lethargic and indecisive. The deal for Sabitzer screams of anything but and provides Ten Hag and co with a shot in the arm to finish the campaign strongly.
