Dani Ceballos has reportedly rejected an approach from a Premier League clubs as he remains firm on succeeding at Real Madrid.
According to MARCA, Dani Ceballos has rejected an offer from an unnamed Premier League club this month. The Spanish midfielder is confident of succeeding at Real Madrid amid the club’s growing level of confidence in him this season.
Many wondered what would happen to Dani Ceballos’s once promising career as he looked out of sorts in the last two years. The midfielder spent two seasons on loan at Arsenal but only played well in the first campaign under Mikel Arteta. He even won an FA Cup to mark a successful term.
Arteta chose to bring him back for the next campaign, but things did not go to plan with the Real Madrid midfielder. The Real Madrid midfielder did not confidently return to his parent club, and many thought he might get shipped out.
Yet, Carlo Ancelotti kept him on board, and he was considered no more than a squad option by the Italian. While he did not play a major role in Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph, Ancelotti did bring him from the bench in the second half.
There is a big importance to that cameo, as Real Madrid were not particularly protecting a huge lead. Despite their slender advantage over Liverpool, Ancelotti brought in Ceballos in what was a huge show of confidence in the midfielder’s abilities.
While he has remained a bit-part player this season, Real Madrid have reportedly offered him a new deal. The Spanish midfielder could remain open to signing the deal despite reported interest from elsewhere. The report suggests Ceballos has rejected an approach from an unnamed Premier League side this month.
Ceballos feels he could succeed at Real Madrid despite staying down the pecking order. The Spanish giants have actively recruited young midfielders in the last two years and may also sign Jude Bellingham in the summer. If they finalise a move for the England international, Ceballos’s future could come under the spotlight.
For now, Ceballos has no intention of departing Real Madrid and will likely extend his deal at the Bernabeu. Things could change in the summer for the midfielder, who will have no shortages of offers from his homeland and England.
