Arsenal are reportedly interested in Paris Saint-Germain’s young midfielder Warren Zaire-Emery, who might not be within reach.

According to Fabrice Hawkins , Warren Zaire-Emery is a target for Arsenal. Mikel Arteta is keen on signing the Paris Saint-Germain wonderkid. The 16-year-old has shown promising signs of a bright future, and the French giants remain uninterested to listen to any offers.

Warren Zaire-Emery is making a big mark on people in charge of Paris Saint-Germain with some accomplished performances. The 16-year-old was only promoted to the PSG first team this summer and has already made nine appearances in all competitions.

He is yet to score or provide an assist for the senior team, but his position as a defensive midfielder rarely demands those attributes. Zaire-Emery has impressed the PSG chiefs, who are keen to see the youngster flourish in the coming years.

Zaire-Emery was already considered a top talent before the summer, as some clubs sniffed around trying to get a deal done. Real Madrid were among those , as were Barcelona. PSG, however, stood firm and made him a good proposal. The 16-year-old signed a deal with the club until 2025, keeping the door open for sides to enquiries.

They may have wanted a long-term contract to keep the youngster out of the reach of several high-profile clubs. And PSG might work out another offer in the coming summer. But until then, they have shut the doors on the youngster.

Arsenal are reportedly keen on signing the PSG wonderkid and could look to inquire about his availability. Mikel Arteta has shown an interest in recruiting young players. Zaire-Emery’s profile certainly attracts the Spaniard’s attention.

He is a defensive midfielder, a player the Gunners lack as a plan for the future. Thomas Partey has the position nailed down currently. But Arteta is keen on a succession plan for the Ghanaian going forward. They also recently sniffed around for Danilo . But the Brazilian has since joined Nottingham Forest on a permanent deal.

Arteta wants to intricate planning for the key position and may have looked at Zaire-Emery as the correct option. He could have learned the trade from Partey to integrate into the current setup in the coming years steadily.

For now, PSG are reluctant to entertain approaches, which might remain the case for the foreseeable future. In the coming seasons, Arsenal and ther teams might come into the mix and give another try to take the wonderkid away.
