Everton are considering bringing Oscar Estupinan from Championship outfit Hull City to strengthen their ranks this month.

As per Las2Orillas, Hull City forward Oscar Estupinan has emerged as Everton’s latest interest and they are pretty convinced by the player’s potential.

Frank Lampard’s job is on the line as the former Chelsea manager have failed to get his side firing throughout the season. The Toffees have entered the bottom three and their priority would be to protect their Premier League status this time around.

They managed to give the relegation scare a skip last season but this time the battle is pretty tough. Estupinan is currently the highest scorer of Hull with 11 goals in 23 Championship games.

His numbers are quite satisfying and Everton are pondering a swoop in this transfer window. He has a price tag of €6 million and the Merseysiders do have the financial muscle to afford his price.

But given his stupendous form, the Tigers could demand a significant premium over his price tag as we often see small clubs try to grind out the maximum by offloading their prized assets.

Estupinan doesn’t really have the time to acclimatise to the conditions in the top flight and he will need to fire right away at Goodison Park. Players like Brentford’s Ivan Toney have had a smooth transition from the second division to the Premier League and the Colombian international could do the same.

The centre forward has a contract till 2025 but with Hull not involved in the promotional battle they could be willing to cash in on the forward. Neal Maupay hasn’t really hit the ground since his arrival from Brighton & Hove Albion while Dominic Calvert-Lewin has had his problems with recurrent injury issues.

Lampard has very limited options on the attacking front and he wants to use this opportunity to add some necessary reinforcements. The forward will join his compatriot Yerry Mina at the club and he could inject some much-needed confidence into Everton’s side.

They don’t seem to have much competition and could win the battle by just agreeing on a transfer fee with the club.
