Arsenal are exploring a possible deal for AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham in this winter transfer window.

As per a report in vocegiallorossa, Arsenal are considering a move for AS Roma forward Tammy Abraham this month. The Gunners are in need of reinforcements following their jubilant campaign so far.

Arsenal have been steamrolling all their opponents with ease in the Premier League but Mikel Arteta has been without the service of Gabriel Jesus as the player underwent surgery and will need some time before he comes back on the pitch.

The North Londoners have been linked with moves for Joao Felix and Mykhaylo Mudryk but they are far from executing their plans. For Felix, Atletico Madrid’s exorbitant demands have put them off, while Mudryk could cost in excess of £100 million.

Arteta is determined to upgrade his current offensive unit and Abraham could be a reasonable option. Eddie Nketiah came up with some valuable contributions in the last few matches but the youngster won’t be enough if they are to maintain their momentum for the remainder of the season.

The English international moved to Italy in the summer of 2021 and became an instant fan favourite with his goal-scoring skills. He hit 27 goals last season but this season things haven’t really gone according to him.

He has struggled to find the back of the net on a regular basis and Arsenal are ready to take him back to London. The 25-year-old has a good presence in the air and can combine well with his fellow attackers.

Roma paid a whopping €40 million to acquire his services but Chelsea have a buy-back clause which will be applicable from next summer. The Blues can recall their player by paying an €80 million fee next summer but given their current struggles, they are unlikely to spend such a big amount on one of their old prospects.
