Arsenal are reportedly interested in making a €40 million summer move for Juventus midfield sensation Fabio Miretti.
According to Calciomercatoweb, Juventus fear losing a few promising youngsters in the summer, including Italian teenage sensation Fabio Miretti. Arsenal are interested in the 19-year-old and could plot a €40 million move after the season.
Juventus have plenty of problems, ranging from financial irregularities to many board members resigning recently. The final repercussions could come in the way of economic troubles, which many predict could see the club selling some of their prized assets.
A few first-team players could depart after the season, but Massimiliano Allegri fears for the futures of two promising youngsters. Fabio Miretti and Nicolo Fagioli could become the subject of intense interest from Premier League clubs during the summer window.
The two young prospects have forced their way into Allegri’s plans this season. And Miretti, in particular, has raked in plenty of minutes in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. He could make it big at the club in the coming years.
If Juventus decide to generate funds through player sales, then Miretti and Fagioli are significant assets, considering the growing interest in the duo. Chelsea are reportedly tracking the latter, with the Serie A giants bracing themselves for a €50 million summer bid.
Miretti is attracting the interest of Arsenal. The Gunners are considering swooping in for the Italian teenage sensation. The north Londoners continue to build a promising project under Mikel Arteta and could see a few young prospects arriving as part of it during the summer.
Alternatively, Arteta might let go of Albert Sambi Lokonga, with the Belgian falling out of favour. The young midfielder has plenty of interest coming from Italy, including Juventus. And Miretti could replace the 23-year-old at Arsenal as Arteta could look to develop the youngster under his wing.
The report claims the Gunners could submit a bid worth €40 million for Miretti in the summer. The price may appear adequate in the current scenario. If Juventus’s situation stays the same between now and June, they might consider any possible approaches.
