Real Madrid will reportedly ramp up the efforts to sign soon-to-be-free Manchester United prodigy Alejandro Garnacho.

According to a report by Spanish outlet Defensa Central, Alejandro Garnacho has become a top target for Real Madrid. Los Blancos will intensify the efforts to sign the Manchester United prodigy, who might become a free agent in the summer transfer window.

Alejandro Garnacho is one of the brightest young prospects to have emerged from the Manchester United academy. The 18-year-old joined the Red Devils from Atletico Madrid two years ago and immediately slotted into their under-18 team. And he made swift progress in the last two years before making his first-team debut in 2022.

The teenage prodigy has been establishing a foothold in the first-team squad at Manchester United. And Garnacho has already made his mark this season, chipping in with two goals and two assists in just 353 minutes of game time. But the Red Devils are in a spot of bother over his contract situation as his deal runs out in the summer. Such a scenario has alerted Real Madrid.

The reigning La Liga champions are constantly in the market for the brightest young prospects in the world. And the latest prodigy to agree to join Real Madrid is Endrick. But the Merengues remain on the lookout for more talented players, with Garnacho emerging on their radar.

The Manchester United prodigy is a left-winger and can compete with Vinicius Junior if he joins Real Madrid. With Eden Hazard unlikely to remain at the Santiago Bernabeu for much longer, the 18-year-old is an ideal candidate to replace the struggling Belgian attacker.

The report claims that Real Madrid will step up the efforts to sign Garnacho if he runs down his contract with Manchester United. But the Red Devils are determined to hold onto the soon-to-be-free agent after turning down an approach by Chelsea. In addition, Manchester United will look to agree to a new contract.

The Premier League heavyweights are happy to hand him a contract with a significant pay rise. It will be interesting to see if Garnacho is ready to commit to Manchester United by signing a new deal. In the meantime, Real Madrid will be ready to pounce if an opportunity presents itself.
