Liverpool are reportedly readying an offer to tempt Fiorentina into selling 26-year-old World Cup star Sofyan Amrabat.

According to Fichajes, Liverpool could make a big offer for Sofyan Amrabat, with Fiorentina reportedly open to a sale. The Moroccan midfielder has come in for high demand since his brilliant performances at the World Cup to take the African side to a semifinal berth.

Morocco left Qatar as one of the most admired teams of the World Cup. Walid Regragui’s side created history by becoming the first African nation to reach the tournament’s semifinals, and one of their brightest players was Sofyan Amrabat, among others.

Amrabat was at the heart of everything positive Morocco did on the field. He was a formidable presence in the wins over Spain and Portugal and instrumental during the group-stage victory over Belgium. Naturally, those displays have attracted the interest of many teams, including Manchester United, Barcelona and Liverpool.

It’s the Merseysiders who have a keen interest in the midfielder. Jurgen Klopp’s need for new players in the position is public knowledge by now, as many names get mentioned. The defensive midfielder position is an extreme concern for the German boss, and Amrabat would prove a good fit.

Fiorentina can extend Amrabat’s contract by another year, which originally ends in the summer of 2024. They are aware of the interest and could remain open to a sale if suitors can meet their demands. Liverpool are considering making a good offer to tempt the Serie A side into a sale of the 26-year-old World Cup star.

Amrabat reportedly remains keen on joining Liverpool, who are willing to spend €40 million to sign the midfielder. The Moroccan star is also aware of the big opportunity a move to one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs could do to his career.

He would certainly jump at the chance, and Liverpool would vastly benefit from the deal. The Reds must accelerate their efforts, as other clubs could pounce on the opportunity. For now, this deal could materialize, and Amrabat could be playing in Merseyside soon.

We have seen the performance of Jude Bellingham, and we have seen that of Sofyan Amrabat. How can a sale price between $100-$150 million be fair for Bellingham, and a price of €45-€50 million be a “super offer”. What a rip-off. In addition, Liverpool does not replenish its team adequately. It is pain in the eye to watch its games Let Amrabat, the superman with three longs, the “most impressive player in the World Cup”, alone. Get some mediocre players. Leave excellent players for serious teams.
