La Liga champions Real Madrid are reportedly confident of signing the in-demand Jude Bellingham, a target for Chelsea and Liverpool.
According to a report by The Sun, Real Madrid will be optimistic about signing Jude Bellingham next year. The in-demand Borussia Dortmund midfielder is also a target for several Premier League clubs, including Chelsea and Liverpool.
Jude Bellingham has become one of the most highly sought-after players in the market on the back of a stunning stint with Borussia Dortmund. The Englishman is still in his teens but is already a pivotal figure for the Three Lions. At the same time, he is one of the best midfielders in the Bundesliga.
The 19-year-old is enjoying a superb 2022/23 season, amassing nine goals and three assists in 22 appearances this term. And Bellingham was top-notch during the 2022 FIFA World Cup, even though England went out in the quarter-finals. In the meantime, the teenager’s progress has alerted Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Liverpool.
Real Madrid will look to lay down a succession plan for Luka Modric and Toni Kroos in the coming months. And Bellingham has emerged as an option worth considering for Los Blancos. Recent reports have also claimed that Borussia Dortmund might demand Eduardo Camavinga from Real Madrid to sweeten the deal. And the Merengues are confident of signing the teenage prodigy.
As for Chelsea, the Blues are reportedly willing to meet the asking price set by Dortmund for the in-demand midfielder. And the interest in Bellingham is understandable, considering the situation surrounding N’Golo Kante and Jorginho. The two experienced midfielders are on the wrong side of 30 and are in the final year of their contracts. So the Englishman is a top target for Chelsea.
Meanwhile, Liverpool will look to revamp the midfield unit in the summer transfer window. And Bellingham has emerged as a candidate to be a long-term solution in the middle of the park. Recent reports have also indicated that the Reds are the front-runners to sign the in-demand English midfielder.
But with Real Madrid confident about signing Bellingham, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool and Chelsea usurp Los Blancos. In addition, the 19-year-old is also a target for Manchester United. And the teenage sensation looks destined to leave Dortmund next year.
