Kayky set to join Bahia

Manchester City wonderkid Kayky is all set to join Brazilian club Bahia on loan for the remainder of the season.

According to a report from reputed transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, highly-talented Manchester City winger Kayky will terminate his current loan deal with Pacos De Ferreira and join another club from the City Football Group, Bahía.

The 19-year-old is highly rated at Manchester City. But he has had a disappointing loan spell at the Portuguese club during the first half of the campaign. It will be interesting to see if he can succeed at Bahia during the second half of the season.

Kayky is not ready to start for Manchester City in the Premier League yet. So he will need loan spells to continue his development and force his way into Pep Guardiola’s plans. The young winger has the potential to develop into a key player for Manchester City in the future. But the Premier League giants will have to handle his development carefully.

Romano claims that Manchester City have agreed on a deal with Bahia to loan them the Brazilian prodigy until the end of the season. And the two clubs have all ready finalised the paperwork. The Brazilian winger is all set to complete his medical with his new club later today.

It will be interesting to see if the young winger can adapt to his new surroundings quickly and make an immediate impact at Bahia. The 19-year-old made nine appearances for Pacos De Ferreira during the first half of the season. But he failed to find the back of the net with the Portuguese outfit. He will certainly hope for better fortunes at his new club.

Kayky is a naturally right-sided winger, but he is versatile enough to operate on both flanks. Furthermore, he can play as an attacking midfielder as well, and his versatility will be an added bonus for Bahia during the second half of the season.

Manchester City have done well to nurture talented young players like Phil Foden in recent seasons. And the Brazilian wonderkid will be hoping to follow in those footsteps and establish himself as a first-team regular in the coming seasons.
