West Ham United have entered the chase for Adrien Rabiot to rival Arsenal and Newcastle United for the French midfielder.

According to Give Me Sport, West Ham United became the latest team to join in the hunt for Adrien Rabiot. Arsenal and Newcastle United were already chasing the French midfielder, whose contract with Juventus expires in the summer.

The World Cup will bring a unique January window for some mid-level and top-rated clubs across the continent. The grand tournament, usually held in the summer, lets teams scramble for some good performers from the international stage to stake a claim in the market.

Some of those top-performing stars in Qatar with an expiring contract in the summer will see their stocks rise exponentially.

Adrien Rabiot falls under that category, with the French midfielder’s deal up in the summer. Juventus will rue their luck ahead of the January window for a player they were willing to let go on a free transfer in the summer window.

Rabiot was close to leaving before Manchester United registered an interest, which compelled Juventus to ask for a transfer fee. The French midfielder ended up staying in Turin, although his displays for France have set alarm bells ringing with few interested clubs, as he could be available on a cut-price deal.

West Ham United have supposedly joined the hunt for the French midfielder. David Moyes is sensing a bargain opportunity in the market. The Hammers have strengthened significantly in the last window, but after a difficult start to their season, they will look to bring in more stars in January.

Attracting some of the top players proved successful for West Ham in recent windows, especially after they signed Lucas Paqueta and Gianluca Scamacca. A player like Rabiot would drastically improve their quality in midfield, which they have somewhat lacked with Tomas Soucek this term.

Arsenal and Newcastle United are also keen on the midfielder. Mikel Arteta is in the market to add a new player. Rabiot plays a similar role to Granit Xhaka, with the Gunners too reliant on the Swiss star at times. The 27-year-old French midfielder could add immense quality and help the team grow into the title chase.

Similarly, Newcastle United are in the market for a new midfielder to ease the pressure on some of their existing stars. Someone like Rabiot would reduce the pressure on a few players and give Eddie Howe a different option in games to improve the overall quality of his team.

Amid all the ongoing troubles at Juventus, a renewal may seem unlikely for Rabiot. He will undoubtedly eye a big move to further his career, and the Premier League may seem the likeliest destination.
