Paris Saint-Germain are set to test Manchester United’s resolve as they are readying a bumper contract offer for Marcus Rashford.

According to Daily Mirror, PSG are believed to be putting together a package which could see Marcus Rashford earning a mammoth £850,000 per week in Paris. The 25-year-old’s current contract will expire next summer, and he is yet to commit his future with the club.

Rashford’s revolutionary form has translated brilliantly on the pitch as he has been raging fire for club and country. The Manchester-born youngster could be on his way to having his best season in Manchester since breaking into the senior team.

2022/23 appeared to be his make-or-break season as Erik ten Hag took the responsibility to turn the player’s fortunes. And it seems the move has paid off as the forward has been involved in 11 goals for Manchester United since the start of the season.

There have also been talks of a new contract. and the Manchester United management will now sit down with his entourage as he could be set for a big pay rise which could further make him one of the highest-paid players in the Premier League.

PSG’s interest in the English youngster is not new as they also sat down with his representatives last summer to explore their options. And president Nasser Al-Khelaifi recently admitted his admiration for Rashford.

“He’s another player that is really amazing. And for free? To have Rashford for free, every club would run after him, definitely. We’re not hiding it, we spoke before and… interest. But the moment was not a good moment for both sides.”

“Maybe, summer, why not? Today if he’s a free agent of course we can talk to him directly but we are not going to talk to him now. Let him focus on the World Cup. Then after in January, hopefully, if we’re interested we will talk to him.”

The French club’s financial might has already helped them secure the signature of Sergio Ramos and Lionel Messi. And PSG are eyeing another piece of rare talent by offering him a massive salary. Manchester United are unlikely to match PSG’s mammoth offer. But with the familiar environment and ambience surrounding him, Rashford is unlikely to combine with Kylian Mbappe unless an out of the box offer arrives.
