Chelsea will be ready to sell attacker Hakim Ziyech in January in order to rebuild their squad from the scratch.

Chelsea are very keen to sell a number of unwanted players as owner Todd Boehly will oversee a busy winter transfer window. The new owner sacked Thomas Tuchel and snatched Graham Potter from Brighton & Hove Albion as his replacement but the situation hasn’t changed much.
They haven’t been at their best and are loitering in a distant eighth position in the Premier League. Lots of changes are in the offing and Ziyech’s departure could start the proceedings.
AC Milan seems to be interested in the player as the defending Italian champions could initiate contact in the coming days. Chelsea wouldn’t demand a fortune and a deal could be reached over his transfer fee.
The Moroccan international is currently at the World Cup as his country is slated to face Spain in the round of 16. The attacking midfielder, who also can play on the wings will learn his fate on Monday and a good run in the World Cup might help his side to fetch a good amount.
Journalist Simon Phillips believes it’s only a matter of time before Ziyech seals a transfer out of Stamford Bridge.
“With Ziyech, he’s wanted to leave for a while, since the summer, since Tuchel was there. So, that’s the big difference with the other players we’ve been speaking about.
“Ziyech has got a desire to actively leave Chelsea as soon as possible. So, Chelsea will be happy to listen to offers for him in January.”
There won’t be a dearth of suitors for the former Ajax man and he could initiate a transfer battle next month. The Morocco player would be hoping to have his career sorted as he has stagnated at Stamford Bridge in the last few seasons and could have the opportunity to revive his career.
