Real Madrid are monitoring the Marcus Rashford situation and might be interested in a move in near future.
As per defensa central, Real Madrid could emerge as a future destination for Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. The 25-year-old has been in stellar form and is currently the top scorer for his side. And the English forward has been offered to Los Blancos.
Rashford’s current contract will expire at the end of this season. And although there is a one-year extension clause, Manchester United are very keen to get the 25-year-old to sign a new long-term contract.
Rashford has looked like a completely different unit during the tenure of Erik ten Hag, who has worked tirelessly to improve a few aspects of the player. His conversion rate has improved drastically as he has made the left-wing position as his own.
Jadon Sancho has failed to break into the first team on a consistent basis, which has provided a major leap to Rashford’s Manchester United career. This could be a major breakthrough for the forward as he has also carried his form to the international level.
Rashford has emerged as England’s highest scorer at the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and Gareth Southgate will rely on him heavily from now on. Real Madrid do have a pretty well-stocked attacking contingent, with Vinicius Junior as their focal point.
The Brazilian winger has been their main resource on the left wing, and Rashford might have to alter his approach if he is to arrive at Real Madrid. The England international could also be seen as a readymade replacement for Karim Benzema, who has been shining in the twilight of his career.
Rashford has been tried through the middle, but he is best suited when he gets the ball on the left flank. It won’t be an easy task for Los Blancos to snatch English forward from Manchester United as the player seems to have made up his mind to extend his association with the Red Devils.
Real Madrid could raid Manchester United in January. But they are unlikely to be successful in their attempt as Rashford has been bulled as untouchable by the club. For now, the Manchester United forward has been offered to the reigning La Liga champions.
