Moukoko’s contract will expire next summer. But Dortmund have been trying to tie him down for a much longer period. Talks have been quite positive, and the Bundesliga giants are optimistic that the player will eventually commit his future to the club.

Liverpool will also be in for a new forward, and Moukoko could be a good choice. Jurgen Klopp has felt the absence of Sadio Mane since his departure. They did bring Darwin Nunez in the summer, but the Uruguayan striker will need time to score frequently.

The youngster has insisted he will take a decision on his future pretty soon, and he might make an announcement after the World Cup. A player of his calibre would be a boon to any team, and his tender age also provides an advantage as he will have ample room for development. Should Dortmund fail to reach a deal they might consider selling him in January to earn some fast money.
