Liverpool and Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Borussia Dortmund forward Youssoufa Moukoko and could pounce in for a move.
As per 90min, Manchester United and Liverpool are believed to be interested in Borussia Dortmund’s teenage sensation Youssoufa Moukoko. The 18-year-old has had some exciting moments in the Bundesliga this season and a number of clubs will be circling around for his signature.
Following his bit-part role in the last couple of seasons, Moukoko has established himself as almost a first-team player and has had eight starts so far in the German top flight so far.
He has grabbed his chances with both hands and has been involved in ten goal contributions, His goal-scoring antics earned him his first World Cup call up and all his potential suitors will have a keen watch on the player.
Manchester United parted ways with Cristiano Ronaldo as both parties felt it would be better to end the association for a fresh start. Ronaldo will not represent the Red Devils anymore, and Erik ten Hag will have to find an alternate solution in January.
Moukoko’s contract will expire next summer. But Dortmund have been trying to tie him down for a much longer period. Talks have been quite positive, and the Bundesliga giants are optimistic that the player will eventually commit his future to the club.
Liverpool will also be in for a new forward, and Moukoko could be a good choice. Jurgen Klopp has felt the absence of Sadio Mane since his departure. They did bring Darwin Nunez in the summer, but the Uruguayan striker will need time to score frequently.
The youngster has insisted he will take a decision on his future pretty soon, and he might make an announcement after the World Cup. A player of his calibre would be a boon to any team, and his tender age also provides an advantage as he will have ample room for development. Should Dortmund fail to reach a deal they might consider selling him in January to earn some fast money.
