Tottenham Hotspur have identified Rennes forward Martin Terrier as one of their possible targets in the summer.

As per Give Me Sport, Tottenham Hotspur are interested in signing Martin Terrier in the summer and could execute the necessary steps. Antonio Conte will be eyeing another major overhaul next summer as a host of players will arrive at the Tottenham Hotspur stadium.

Martin Terrier had been extensively scouted by a plethora of Premier League clubs this past summer. So Tottenham Hotspur won’t be alone as they are expected to be engaged in a stiff battle.

Harry Kane has been the Spurs’ primary source of goals this season as both Richarlison and Son Heung-min have encountered a pretty frustrating campaign so far.

Adequate reinforcements will be needed, and Terrier has already shown he could be ready for a real showdown in the Premier League. The 25-year-old has already backed up his performance from last season with more vigour as he has been involved in 15 goals in all competitions.

Primarily a left-winger, he can also be deployed upfront as an out-and-out number nine and can inflict more damage from other attacking positions too. Talks of a potential transfer have not taken place as of now. But Rennes can brace themselves for a number of offers in the summer.

A £30 million fee was mooted back in the summer, but the French club will demand more if they are to let go of their prized asset. Journalist Jonathan Johnson tipped Spurs to compete for his signature as they could offer him Champions League football if the current situation continues.

“I think that there are other clubs who might perhaps be able to put a more interesting proposition to him in terms of immediate involvement in top-level European football.

“So, if Spurs were to come back with some interest, for example, I think the potential of going and playing in the Champions League with them might sway his opinion.”

It remains to be seen whether Tottenham come back with a better offer in January or they decide to wait till the next summer. But Terrier has plenty of other suitors as well, with Newcastle United, Arsenal, and Manchester United keen on signing the 25-year-old goal machine.
