Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing 22-year-old Italian striker Moise Kean, currently on loan at Juventus.

According to a report from Juve Dipendenza, Newcastle United are hoping to sign Moise Kean following his loan spell at Juventus.

Everton signed the highly-talented striker from Juventus back in 2019, but he failed to make his mark at Goodison Park. That Toffees decided to loan the 22-year-old out to PSG during the 2020/21 season and impressed with the French outfit.

Then Everton decided to loan him out again, this time to Juventus on a two-year loan deal. The Bianconeri have the obligation to sign the player for a reported fee of around €30 million at the end of this season.

Kean has done well with the Turin giants this season, and he has five goals to his name across all competitions. If Newcastle United manage to sign him, he could prove to be a solid acquisition for the Magpies. Newcastle are overly reliant on Callum Wilson for goals, and bringing in another striker would help share the goalscoring burden.

Newcastle have no shortage of resources, and they could be able to tempt Juventus into selling the 22-year-old permanently after they have exercised the clause to buy him from Everton. Kean needs to join a club where he will be getting regular playing time, and Newcastle might be able to provide him with that platform.

Furthermore, Eddie Howe has a proven track record of improving young players, and he showed that during his time at Bournemouth. He could help the Italian striker fulfil his tremendous potential at Newcastle. Newcastle have also shown interest in other strikers, including Dusan Vlahovic.

Meanwhile, it will be interesting to see whether the player is open to returning to the Premier League permanently. He had a mediocre spell with Everton, and staying in his homeland might be a more preferable option for him.

Kean was linked with West Ham United in the summer. Newcastle signed Alexander Isak from La Liga at the start of the season. And while the Swede has done well in his initial days, he does not come across as a prolific goalscorer. Signing another striker would be ideal for the Magpies as they aim to secure regular European football.
