Leeds United are reportedly still interested in signing Dutch attacker Noa Lang from Belgian giants Club Brugge.

Leeds United are set to pursue Noa Lang when the transfer window opens again in January, if a report from Give Me Sport is to be believed. The 23-year-old Dutch attacker was a target for the Premier League outfit in the summer as well.

Lang remains on Leeds United’s radar, and the Whites could certainly use a quality attacker like him. The 23-year-old has four goals and three assists across all competitions this season. Journalist Dean Jones has revealed to Give Me Sport that Leeds will be waiting in the wings for Lang when the window opens. But they will likely face competition from a number of clubs.

In an interview with GiveMeSport, he said, “They probably will be in the race when the time comes. But, Noa Lang’s got this global reputation, whereby probably 10, 12 teams are watching Noa Lang at the moment, just waiting to decide whether it’s time to push the button and actually go through with a bid for a player who’s got such potential.”

It will be interesting to see if the Whites can fend off the competition and secure his services in the coming months. Leeds have had a difficult time this season, but they have shown some signs of improvement under Jesse Marsch recently.

They will need to improve their squad in the upcoming windows, and Lang could be a superb long-term addition for them. He will add pace, flair and goals to the final third and he is versatile enough to play anywhere across the front three.

The Dutchman has a contract with Club Brugge until the summer of 2025 and is likely to cost around £26.2 million-£30.6 million as per Fabrizio Romano. Lang has proven his quality in the Belgian league and could use a step up in his career. A move to the Premier League would allow him to showcase his talent at a higher level.

Leeds will be hoping that the top clubs are not after the Dutchman as it could jeopardise their chances of landing him. If a club with European football comes forward with an offer for Lang, the player could easily be tempted into snubbing Leeds.

That said, the Whites have a talented squad, a passionate fan base and an exciting project. They would represent a solid move for the talented young Dutchman.
