Tottenham have joined the race to sign Borussia Dortmund attacker Youssoufa Moukoko, a target for Liverpool and Manchester United.

According to a report from 90min, Tottenham recently sent scouts to watch Youssoufa Moukoko in action against Borussia Monchengladbach on Friday. The 17-year-old attacker is also a target for Liverpool and Manchester United

The player has been linked with several Premier League clubs. And Liverpool and Manchester United now face competition from Tottenham in the race to sign Moukoko. It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham can fend off the competition and secure his signature in the coming months.

The talented young forward will be a free agent at the end of the season. And he will be able to negotiate pre-contract agreements with foreign clubs, once the transfer window reopens in January.

Moukoko is widely regarded as one of the best young talents in football right now, and he could prove to be a sensational long-term signing for Tottenham if they manage to pull it off. Signing a player of his quality and potential on a free transfer would be a masterstroke from Daniel Levy.

The north London club could definitely use more attacking depth, and Moukoko could be an understudy to Harry Kane for now. The England international has been linked with a move away from Tottenham over the last couple of years. So the 17-year-old could be a ready-made replacement for Kane in the near future.

Moukoko has already established himself as an important first-team player for Dortmund, and the German club will want to hold on to him for as long as possible. However, if the player decides to not extend his contract, they will be powerless to stop him from leaving the club.

Meanwhile, it is unclear how Moukoko might fit in at Liverpool, who signed Darwin Nunez in the summer. But the Reds are the front-runners to sign the teenage prodigy. As for Manchester United, with Cristiano Ronaldo’s future up in the air, the Red Devils will need to sign a new striker. And Moukoko is a viable target for Manchester United.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham decide to follow up on their interest in the player with a concrete offer in the coming months. They could look to sign the player for a reasonable price in January or wait until the summer to snap him up on a free transfer. But the competition from Liverpool and Manchester United leaves them in a spot of bother.
