Liverpool midfielder Tyler Morton is reportedly on the radar of Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund.

According to a report from The Sun, Tyler Morton is being looked at by Borussia Dortmund. The Bundesliga giants want to make the 20-year-old Liverpool midfielder the “next Bellingham”.

Morton is currently on loan at Blackburn Rovers, and he has been highly impressive for the Championship club. The 20-year-old has two assists to his name so far this season. The Liverpool prospect will return to Anfield in the summer, and a definitive decision could be taken then.

The youngster made a few cameos for Liverpool last season, and he was highly impressive. Manager Jurgen Klopp heaped lavish praise on the player as well.

The 20-year-old can operate as a central midfielder as well as a defensive midfielder, and he has a big future in the game. It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are willing to let a prodigious talent like Morton leave.

Morton needs to play an ample number of games in order to continue his development. And if Liverpool cannot provide him with that opportunity, the Reds might have to consider letting him join another club. Whether that is on a temporary basis or permanent, remains to be seen.

Borussia Dortmund are a club renowned for developing talented young players into established stars. And Morton could be tempted to join the Bundesliga giants if an opportunity comes along.

The German outfit have taken players like Jadon Sancho and Jude Bellingham from English clubs in the past and turned them into the hottest prospects in European football in recent years. Morton could look to follow in their footsteps and be the next Bellingham.

That said, Liverpool will not be keen on losing their prized prospect anytime soon, and they are under no pressure to sell him either. The 20-year-old has a contract at Anfield until the summer of 2025. Dortmund will thus have to come forward with a really enticing offer to bring Liverpool to the negotiating table.

A more likely option would be to approach the Reds regarding a potential loan move. The Reds could be more open to letting the player go out and gain some experience for the short term. Meanwhile, Bellingham is a target for Liverpool, and his arrival might well be detrimental for Morton.
