Tottenham are taking big strides in developing youth talent through the academy. The idea is to bring up players internally and develop them into future stars. One of the emerging talents from within is attacking midfielder Alfie Devine.
The 18-year-old Tottenham midfield sensation is pencilled in to make a huge impact in a future first team, and the club are carefully threading with his development. Recent reports urged Spurs to take the next steps in his nurture and probably send him out on loan to gain experience.
So far, Devine got restricted to playing with Tottenham’s youth teams and has excelled in multiple age groups. Devine became the youngest player in Tottenham’s history when he made his first-team debut in January 2021, aged 16 years and 163 days.
Tottenham are now open to letting him depart on loan in January. They believe a spell at one of the EFL clubs could help him develop better and then make a decision in the summer.
Many clubs are reportedly keen on taking him, although the Tottenham midfield sensation alongside the club will take a collective decision. The idea is to give him to a club where Devine could regularly feature, not necessarily from the start.

Devine’s constant appearances for Tottenham’s youth team may have stagnated his development. Although a spell away in a new atmosphere could revive the talent and his hunger to grow.
