Arsenal have reportedly offered €60 million to sign Shakhtar Donetsk winger Mykhaylo Mudryk in the January transfer window.

According to a report from TuttoJuve journalist Mirko Di Natale, Arsenal have submitted a €60 million offer for Mykhaylo Mudryk. The Gunners are hoping to sign the 21-year-old winger, their top attacking target, in the coming months.

The Ukrainian winger has been in exceptional form for Shakhtar Donetsk, and his performances in the UEFA Champions League have attracted the attention of the top European clubs. It is no secret that Mikel Arteta needs to add more quality and depth to his attack, and Mudryk could prove to be a quality long-term acquisition for Arsenal.

The Shakhtar Donetsk attacker is naturally a left-sided winger, but he can operate on either flank. His versatility will be an added bonus for Mikel Arteta and Arsenal. The Gunners are currently overly reliant on Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli as their only wingers. Attacking midfielder Emile Smith Rowe can play out wide, but he has had his fair share of injury problems so far.

Arsenal are currently at the top of the Premier League table, and they will be hoping to sustain the title challenge until the end of the season. And bringing in the right additions in the January transfer window could help them push the likes of Manchester City. So it will be interesting to see if the Gunners can get the deal over the line.

The 21-year-old is highly rated in European football, and he has a big future ahead of him. Mudryk has also attracted interest from Newcastle United, Manchester City, and Paris Saint-Germain, among others. But after identifying him as their top attacking target, Arsenal have stepped up their efforts to sign him.

The reported €60 million offer seems like a reasonable fee for a player of his quality. But it remains to be seen whether Shakhtar Donetsk are prepared to accept it. Mudryk has shown in the Champions League this season that he is capable of thriving in the major leagues and his direct style of play could be an ideal fit for the Premier League is well.

The winger is just 21 years old, and he has his best years ahead of him. So Mudryk could prove to be a quality long-term investment for Arsenal if they manage to get the transfer across the line with their €60 million bid.
