West Ham United are willing to let Manuel Lanzini leave if an offer of £10 million arrives in January, as the Argentine is no longer needed.

According to Football Insider, West Ham United are prepared to sell Manuel Lanzini in January. The Hammers are hoping to receive at least £10 million for the underperforming playmaker as he does not feature in David Moyes’s plans anymore.

West Ham United once valued Manuel Lanzini between £40-50 million, as the Argentine was once a hot performer for the club. In recent years, however, the underperforming playmaker has been subject to criticism, and David Moyes recognised the problem in the summer.

Moyes wanted the playmaker out of the club before the summer deadline. The club reportedly informed the 29-year-old of their decision, but he could not find a way out. While he has remained at the London Stadium, Lanzini has played in the Europa Conference League to good effect.

The arrival of Lucas Paqueta has limited his chances in the Premier League. West Ham could be looking to sell him when the January window opens, as Moyes has alternatives lined up. The underperforming playmaker staying put may have led to West Ham’s failure to sign Hans Vanaken in the previous window.

The Hammers continue to keep tabs on Vanaken ahead of January and could make a reasonable offer to Club Brugge to bring him to London.

They have also been keen on signing Piotr Zielinski, but the Napoli man could be challenging to achieve in the next window. For now, the Hammers are open to entertaining offers for Lanzini and will readily accept bids of around £10 million for the underperforming playmaker.

Lanzini’s contract effectively ends in the summer of 2023, but West Ham have the option of extending it by two more years. If the Hammers see reasonable interest in the playmaker during the following months, they could activate the clause to protect his value.

However, if a club are ready to pay the requested sum in January, they will consider a sale without complications. Lanzini has scored 31 goals and provided 27 assists in 214 appearances across all competitions for West Ham. He was an essential player for Moyes as recently as last season when he made 30 appearances in the league.
