Tottenham in transfer tussle to sign Hamed Traore

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly interested in signing Hamed Traore, valued at €30 million by Serie A outfit Sassuolo.

According to a report from Milan Live, Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Hamed Traore. The 22-year-old attacking midfielder, valued at €30 million by Serie A outfit Sassuolo, is also a target for West Ham United, AC Milan, Juventus and Napoli.

Sassuolo are reportedly looking to recoup a fee of more than €30 million for the talented young midfielder. And it will be interesting to see whether Tottenham decide to come forward with an official bid in the coming months.

The highly-talented midfielder has made just two appearances in Serie A this season, and he has one assist to his name. Tottenham could use a creative player like him in their squad.

Antonio Conte has top-class midfielders like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur at his disposal. Furthermore, Tottenham signed Yves Bissouma from Brighton & Hove Albion in the summer transfer window.

However, none of the three midfielders can add creativity and goals to the side. Bringing in a creative presence would be ideal for the north London club, and they were linked with Nicolo Zaniolo and Christian Eriksen in the summer transfer window. Zaniolo remains on Tottenham’s radar to this day.

Traore is highly rated in Italy and has a bright future ahead of him. Working with a top-class manager like Antonio Conte could help the 22-year-old improve and fulfil his tremendous potential.

Traore primarily operates as a number ten, and he could link up well with the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min. Furthermore, he will help create more goalscoring opportunities for the attacking duo and add a cutting edge in the final third.

It will be interesting to see if Tottenham can beat the competition from clubs like West Ham United, AC Milan, Juventus, and Napoli and secure the youngster’s signature soon.

Spurs have a quality squad, and bringing in a few intelligent additions like Traore could help them get to the next level. Tottenham also have the means at their disposal to meet the €30 million asking price set by Serie A outfit Sassuolo.
