La Liga champions Real Madrid reportedly have no interest in signing Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023.
According to a report by Spanish publication MARCA, Kylian Mbappe will unlikely move to Real Madrid in the 2023 summer transfer window. The reigning La Liga champions have snubbed the thought of signing the Paris Saint-Germain attacker next year.
Kylian Mbappe has established himself as one of the best players in the game since breaking out at AS Monaco over half a decade ago. The Frenchman did not spend many years at the principality club, moving to Paris Saint-Germain a few years ago. And he has established himself as a pivotal figure for PSG.
The 23-year-old has an excellent record of 183 goals and 89 assists in 231 appearances for PSG. But recent reports have claimed that Mbappe is unsettled at Parc des Princes due to off-field issues. At the same time, his prima-donna attitude has invariably rubbed many the wrong way. Amid all that, the links with Real Madrid have surfaced again.
Real Madrid pursued Mbappe in each of the last two summer transfer windows. While the reigning La Liga champions were willing to shell out close to €200 million to sign him in 2021, they hoped to land him in a Bosman move this year. Mbappe had even agreed to personal terms to join Real Madrid.

But the French international dropped a bombshell when he signed a new deal with PSG instead of leaving as a free agent. His decision has unsurprisingly left a sour taste in Florentino Perez’s mouth. And the Real Madrid president, being a proud man, is ready to snub a move for Mbappe.
Recent reports had suggested that Real Madrid will not pursue a move for Mbappe in January. It now looks like the 23-year-old might not join Real Madrid at all, with Los Blancos uninterested in signing the PSG attacker, period. Perez has also suggested the same in minced words this week.

Meanwhile, Mbappe has refuted claims that he is unsettled at PSG, insisting he does not want to leave. Nonetheless, rumours about his possible departure continue to surface, and it will be interesting to see if he remains at PSG.
