Meanwhile, Sevilla have already held discussions with Nordsjaelland and reportedly saw discussions escalate after a €4 million offer was rejected. The Norwegian outfit are want to recoup at least €20 million from suitors for their 18-year-old prodigy, who has a contract until 2024.

In England, Arsenal and Liverpool are reportedly eyeing Schjelderup as Mikel Arteta and Jurgen Klopp are open to adding more young talents to their respective groups. Moreover, strikers are a rare commodity, and any top club will be vying for the signature of a highly-rated youngster.

Schjelderup is one of those, and the two English clubs are already keeping him on their minds for a future approach. Arsenal, for instance, are already looking at many young talents for their offensive unit. Moreover, they are a thriving team for young strikers, as seen with the recent developments of Mika Beireth and Folarin Balogun.

Liverpool will also be keen to add to their stable of young players, with the likes of Fabio Carvalho and Harvey Elliott already thriving in the first team under Klopp this season. Bringing in a player like Schjelderup would enable the Liverpool manager to nurture him under some of his more established forwards like Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

Things are now calm in the chase for Schjelderup, but the situation could evolve in the coming months, probably in January. In any case, if the Norwegian prodigy remains with Nordsjaelland until the summer, when he will have a year left on his deal, with many other clubs scrambling for his signature in 2023.
