Chelsea demand €35 million for Christian Pulisic amid Juventus interest

Chelsea attacker Christian Pulisic has been linked with a move to Juventus, with the Blues demanding €35 million for him.

According to a report from Calciomercato, Italian giants Juventus have made initial enquiries regarding Christian Pulisic. Chelsea will demand around €35 million to part ways with the USMNT international.

The 27-year-old has two years left on his current contract at Stamford Bridge, and he has not been able to live up to the expectations since his big-money move from Borussia Dortmund. There have been rumours that Pulisic could move on at the end of the season, and Chelsea are reportedly demanding a fee of around €35 million.

The player is admired by Juventus, and it remains to be seen whether the Serie A giants are willing to fork out that kind of money for his services.

Despite his inconsistencies at Chelsea, the former Dortmund attacker remains a quality player who would improve Juventus in the final third. Furthermore, Pulisic is versatile enough to play across multiple positions, and he could be an asset for the Bianconeri.

Initial contacts have already been established between the two parties to gauge his intent ahead of the summer transfer window. Eventually, it will come down to Chelsea, who will need to be convinced. The player might be keen on a fresh start next season, and a move to Juventus will certainly represent a great opportunity for him.

Pulisic has fallen further down the pecking order since the arrival of Raheem Sterling. The Serie A giants are looking to establish themselves as the kings of Italian football once again, and they will need to strengthen the squad in order for that to happen. Signing players like Pulisic will certainly help them improve, but the €35 million asking price could be prohibitive for them.

It will be interesting to see if the player’s suitors are willing to pay €35 million for an out of favour attacker who has not been able to capture his peak form at Stamford Bridge and finds himself on the fringes of the first team.

There is no doubt that Pulisic is the kind of talent who can justify the €35 million outlay in the long run. But his stock has certainly plummeted because of his inconsistent performances over the past year, and Juventus are a club known for bargain hunting.
