The Hammers’ offer for the 18-year-old Belgian wonderkid remains under wraps, but it is clear they are nowhere near Brugge’s valuation of Engels. The midfielder could be keen on joining West Ham as his representatives will take such an opportunity very seriously.

Meanwhile, the Hammers are also keen on another Brugge player as they prepare a new offer for Hans Vanaken. The 30-year-old is wants to move to the London Stadium, but the Belgian club have rejected West Ham’s overtures. West Ham will hope to seal a move for the midfielder but will have to offer more than the first €10 million bid.

Additionally, Moyes will be keen to seal the high-profile transfer of Lucas Paqueta, as they have agreed on personal terms with the Brazilian playmaker. West Ham lodged a fresh offer to Lyon after seeing their initial €40 million offer knocked back, which was turned down as well.

Whether Moyes can get some important deals over the line remains to be seen. While West Ham have had a strong window so far, it has not reflected on their league form after a disastrous start to their Premier League campaign.
