La Liga giants Valencia are reportedly set to sign Spanish attacker Bryan Gil on loan from Tottenham this summer.

According to reputed Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, La Liga outfit Valencia are set to secure the services of Tottenham Hotspur attacker Bryan Gil.

The young Spaniard has failed to make a name for himself in north London and spent the second half of the 2021/22 campaign on loan at the Mestalla. Gil appears to have made an impact at Valencia, with Los Che set to retain his service for the 2022/23 campaign.

Gil is primarily a left-winger and can also do a job on the other flank and in central midfield. A silky player with good control and an eye for a pass, the 21-year-old is already a full international for Spain. With the 2022 FIFA World Cup just months away, Gil is better off seeking regular playtime, something that is just a luxury at Tottenham.

The arrival of Ivan Perisic gives Antonio Conte an experienced option who can play anywhere along the left wing. With Lucas Moura and Son Heung-min also available, Gil is better off seeking a move elsewhere. Valencia have showed faith in the 21-year-old, and there is no reason to believe otherwise once he returns to La Liga this summer.

While Tottenham are ready to part ways with the attacker after initially seeming to block a move, it will only be on a loan deal. Gil will spend the current season at the Mestalla and is likely to return to North London in the summer of 2023. There is no option for Los Che to make the deal permanent, and in the short term, it would appear to be a win-win for all parties.

Valencia are not the force of old and have fallen away from the top of the standings in La Liga. Samuel Lino is their lone option on the left wing, and the addition of Gil will now afford Gennaro Gattuso more options. It now hands the 21-year-old an excellent opportunity to continue his development unhindered as he is comfortable in La Liga.

Gil is now set to become the third player to leave Tottenham on loan this summer in quick succession. He follows Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy Ndombele on the way out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
