Arsenal are reportedly preparing a new bid for Youri Tielemans as the Gunners continue to conduct negotiations under the radar.

According to Sacha Tavolieri, Arsenal are readying a new bid for Youri Tielemans, as Leicester City could have rebuffed an earlier attempt for the Belgian international. The Gunners are keen on signing the 25-yeaar-old playmaker and could try to persuade their fellow Premier League club into a sale.

These are curious times being a Leicester City supporter, as their club has shown little inkling to strengthen their team in the window. The Foxes have yet to make a single outfield signing this summer but could be losing some of their key players.

Wesley Fofana, James Maddison and Youri Tielemans are all linked with an exit from the Premier League club, which would be a concern for many supporters. Tielemans, in particular, is in a stronger position than others to depart, as he is already in the last year of his contract.

Leicester City secretly ed the midfielder would sign a one-year extension, but the interest from Arsenal could change the scenario. Tielemans only wants to sign for the Gunners and is willing to turn down the overtures of other clubs.

From the media’s perspective, the Gunners had cooled their interest and wanted to sign the 25-year-old playmaker on a free transfer next summer. Arsenal, however, continue to surprise many with their work behind the scenes and away from the media’s radars.

From Sacha Tavolieri’s tweet, it is clear the Gunners have already had a bid for Tielemans rejected by Leicester City. Arsenal are now preparing a new offer to lure the Belgian playmaker to the Emirates from their fellow Premier League club.

Tavolieri claims next week will be crucial for the deal to materialise as we inch closer to the transfer deadline. Meanwhile, the journalist also suggests that Arsenal have alternative targets, such as AC Milan’s Sandro Tonali and Brighton & Hove Albion’s Moises Caicedo.

However, as widely reported, Tielemans seems like Arsenal’s top midfield target, as they have been chasing the Belgian international since January. If reports are to be believed, considering the player’s intent to join Mikel Arteta’s side, personal terms may not be an issue.

The north Londoners may look to drive a bargain by taking the Belgian’s contractual situation into account. For Leicester, losing the Belgian playmaker would be a big blow, as there is barely enough time in the window to find a suitable replacement.

Tielemans would be a fantastic signing for Arsenal, who sit at the top of the Premier League table after three wins from their opening games. The 25-year-old would elevate their current quality and provide ample competition for places in midfield.
