Manchester United submit enquiry, offer five-year contract to Casemiro

English giants Manchester United have submitted an enquiry to Real Madrid for Casemiro while offering a five-year contract to the Brazilian midfield powerhouse.

According to a report by Manchester Evening News, Casemiro has become a top target for the final weeks of the ongoing transfer window for Manchester United. The Red Devils have approached Real Madrid for the Brazilian midfield powerhouse while offering him a five-year contract to boot.

Casemiro has established himself as one of the best midfielders of his generation since returning to Real Madrid from a loan spell with FC Porto. The 30-year-old has been one of the pillars of success for Los Blancos, with his formidable partnership with Luka Modric and Toni Kroos providing the foundation for their dominance in Europe.

The 30-year-old has turned out over 300 times thus far for Real Madrid while regularly chipping in with crucial goals and assists during his stint at the Santiago Bernabeu. And considering Casemiro’s status as a powerhouse of a midfielder, it is hardly surprising that several clubs, including Manchester United, are keen on signing him.

Manchester United entered the summer transfer window with the objective of making multiple midfield reinforcements after the departures of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic. Shoring up the holding midfield slot had to be a priority for the Red Devils, with Matic leaving a gaping hole at Old Trafford despite his advancing age.

But the Premier League heavyweights have not shown any seriousness about signing a midfield powerhouse this summer, instead concentrating on signing a creative midfielder like Frenkie de Jong. But with the Dutch midfielder uninterested in leaving Barcelona, Manchester United set sights on Adrien Rabiot, who will unlikely join them due to his excessive wage demands.

Casemiro has since emerged as an alternative for Manchester United, with the Brazilian midfield powerhouse an upgrade on Rabiot. And the Red Devils have submitted an enquiry to Real Madrid, who might not be open to selling the 30-year-old. And according to El Chiringuito, they have offered Casemiro a five-year contract.

It is unclear if the Real Madrid midfielder will be open to joining Manchester United, considering he will not play in the UEFA Champions League this season if he does. But the Red Devils will leave no stone unturned to bring the Real Madrid veteran to Old Trafford in the ongoing transfer window.
