Inter Milan accept Chelsea’s bid for Cesare Casadei

Premier League giants Chelsea have reached an agreement with Inter Milan for talented prodigy Cesare Casadei.

According to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Italian behemoths Inter Milan for talented young Italian starlet Cesare Casadei.

The Blues are undergoing an overhaul of sorts following the ownership change at Stamford Bridge. Todd Bohely appears keen to bring in promising young talents and has already landed the likes of Gabriel Slolina and Carney Chukwuemeka. Casadei appears to be the next name on the list, with the Blues now set to land their man.

Casadei has already agreed to personal terms with Chelsea and with Inter now accepting the Blues’ bid, a move to Stamford Bridge is imminent. The youngster will pen a six-year deal and will be keen to take his first steps towards regular senior football.

The Blues will pay Inter a transfer fee of €15 million with another €5 million in bonuses. While one could argue that it is a bit much for a player, who is yet to kick a ball at the senior level, one might argue that it represents the faith the Londoners have in the youngster.

Casadei will arrive in London this week to undergo his medical. Unless there is a late twist in the tale, the Italian will soon be announced as a Chelsea star. A central midfielder, the 19-year-old will be adding depth to an area of the pitch that needs an infusion of young blood.

Jorginho and N’Golo Kante have both played a huge role in the club’s success under Tuchel but are now in their thirties. It is imperative that they replace the duo sooner or later. The presence of Conor Gallagher and Billy Gilmour means the Blues already have youth stars knocking on the first team door. Adding Casadei into the mix will give Chelsea an impressive central midfield roster for years to come.

Casadei has built himself a solid reputation as one of the best young midfield prospects in Italy. A consistent performer for Inter’s Primavera outfit, he is ready to take the next step in his development. Everything points to Chelsea being the beneficiaries of the decision.
