Ismaila Sarr is a target for Leeds United, who are keen on a new wide attacker to replace Raphinha.

According to Foot Mercato, Leeds United are interested in Ismaila Sarr, who suffered his second relegation from the top-flight with Watford earlier this year. The Senegal star is reportedly available for €35 million, although the Premier League side will look to get the price down.

Leeds United have been very active in the transfer window, as Jesse Marsch has been working hard to address multiple issues with his squad for the upcoming season. So far, the Whites have successfully brought in midfielders and also shored up the backline to an extent, while also reinforcing the attack with Luis Sinisterra’s arrival.

However, the biggest issue with the current setup is finding a suitable replacement for Raphinha, who left for Barcelona after a transfer tussle involving multiple clubs. Leeds agreed to sell their prized asset for a considerable price, and continue their search for a new attacker.

There are several players that Marsch likes, and the club have been in talks with their counterparts regarding a transfer. Given their excellent relations with Stade Rennes, they are trying to get Martin Terrier, although the closest like-for-like replacement for Raphinha on their radar is Watford star, Ismaila Sarr.

The Senegal international is attracting widespread interest from Premier League clubs, with West Ham United one of those keen on the winger. Newcastle United are also in the hunt for the Watford ace.

Leeds United have now joined the race to sign Sarr and consider him as a viable replacement for Raphinha. However, the club may need to act fast in order to avoid losing the winger to other interested clubs. Watford would be happy to sell if their asking price of €35 million is met.

Leeds have also been keeping tabs on Cody Gakpo, although the Arsenal target will cost around €45 million. That figure could lead them away from the Dutchman and force them to focus their attention on either Terrier or Sarr.

Sarr is reportedly keen to depart Watford, with whom he suffered his second relegation from the Premier League last season. He has two years left on his deal, and it remains to be seen if Watford reduce their €35 million valuation. Leeds United have the funds to facilitate a move, although they plan to negotiate a lower price and offer the winger an entry back into the Premier League.
