Barcelona have reportedly agreed to a fee worth €2 million with fellow La Liga club Celta Vigo for the transfer of defender Oscar Mingueza.

According to a report by Spanish publication SPORT, Barcelona and Celta Vigo have reached an agreement worth €2 million for the transfer of La Masia graduate Oscar Mingueza. The 23-year-old has just a year remaining on his contract with the Blaugrana and could be one of the multiple exits from Camp Nou this summer.

Barcelona have so far completed five signings this summer and could be set to welcome more players. Raphinha, Robert Lewandowski, Andreas Christensen, Franck Kessie and Jules Kounde have all joined the Catalan giants in the ongoing transfer window. But to register their new players, Barcelona will need to sell a few existing ones and make space in the wage bill.

Frenkie de Jong’s exit has been the most talked about subject, with Barcelona having already agreed on a transfer fee with Manchester United. The Dutch midfielder, however, is reluctant to leave as the Catalan heavyweights are not paying the deferred wages that they owe him, thus stalling the transfer.

Memphis Depay, who arrived just last summer from Lyon on a free transfer, has been reportedly put up for sale as well. The likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Dutch forward, but there have been no reports of official talks yet.

Oscar Mingueza could thus become the first player to depart from Camp Nou this summer, with Barcelona agreeing to a €2 million fee for his transfer to fellow La Liga club Celta Vigo. The centre-back is a product of Barcelona’s famed La Masia academy but has failed to cement a starting spot despite being presented with ample chances over the last two seasons.

The player is said to have agreed to join Celta Vigo, and finer details of his personal terms with the club are still being finalised. The Galician outfit wish to tie down the 23-year-old for four seasons. Mingueza was courted by the likes of Getafe and Girona as well, but Celta Vigo acted fast to initiate talks and finalise terms with the Blaugrana.
