Real Madrid interested in Iker Bravo

Real Madrid are reportedly keen on signing Bayer Leverkusen teenage sensation Iker Bravo this summer.

According to Defensa Central, Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Bayer Leverkusen attacking prodigy Iker Bravo and wish to sign him in the ongoing transfer window.

Iker Bravo is widely regarded as one of the brightest young Spanish footballers and has been tipped for a bright future in the game. The 17-year-old spent time at Barcelona’s fabled La Masia academy before leaving for Bayer Leverkusen last year.

Upon moving to Germany, Bravo scored three goals in three games for Bayer Leverkusen’s Under-17 side and has accumulated a return of seven goals and three assists in only 14 matches for the Under-19 team. He made his senior debut for Die Werkself in October 2021 but has played only two matches.

Bravo has been a prolific goalscorer for the Spain Under-17 national team, having netted 11 goals in just 14 games. He has made three appearances for La Roja’s Under-19 setup but is yet to open his account.

Bravo’s exceptional performances at the youth level have seemingly caught the attention of Real Madrid, who are now ready to make a swoop for the former Barcelona academy product. Los Blancos have been paying special focus to their recruitment at the youth level and have brought in some extremely talented young prospects into their ranks in recent transfer windows.

That trend is continuing this summer as well, with Real Madrid adding the likes of Noel Lopez and Alvaro Leiva, while they hold an interest in several prodigious talents such as Matheus Nascimento, Dario Osorio, and Samed Bazdar, among others.

Iker Bravo has also emerged as one such target for Real Madrid, who are now ready to open talks with Bayer Leverkusen to try and negotiate a transfer for the 17-year-old goalscoring prodigy. The report also indicates that the teenage striker would be keen on a move to the Spanish capital club.

If signed, Bravo would be expected to join Real Madrid’s Castilla team, managed by club legend and iconic striker Raul Gonzalez. The 17-year-old could stand to gain a lot by playing under the former Spanish international before he can make the step up to the senior team.
