Tottenham outcast Tanguy Ndombele has attracted interest from AC Milan, who could hold discussions for the Frenchman with the Premier League club.

According to Milan News, AC Milan could hold talks with Tottenham Hotspur about the possibility of signing Tanguy Ndombele when they discuss a deal for defender Japhet Tanganga.

The Rossoneri are interested in signing Tanganga and are already starting discussions with the Lilywhites for their academy graduate. The English defender is likely to end up at San Siro on a potential loan move with a buy option. And he could be followed by another Tottenham star in Tanguy Ndombele, who has become a subject of interest for Milan.

Ndombele is out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur, having failed to make much of an impact in his three years at Tottenham. Having arrived in a then-club record deal in 2019, the Frenchman struggled to get going in London, failing to make an impression on any of the managers he played under at the club.

After a lack of game-time, Ndombele left Tottenham on loan for Olympique Lyon in January and showed glimpses of his old form. However, his huge price tag meant the Ligue 1 club did not sign him permanently. Back at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, the French international does not belong in Antonio Conte’s plans and has been told as much.

Ndombele was left out of Tottenham’s pre-season tour to sort his future out. A reunion with former manager Jose Mourinho at AS Roma has been touted while Lazio have also shown an interest in the past. Now, AC Milan also seem to have taken an interest in the Frenchman in the ongoing transfer window.

Milan lost Franck Kessie as a free agent this summer, with the midfielder signing for Barcelona. The Ivorian’s departure leaves a gaping hole in the midfield unit at San Siro. At the same time, the reigning Italian champions are also ready to part ways with Tiemoue Bakayoko, who is on loan at the club from Chelsea.

So, someone like Ndombele can be a good addition for Milan as he would fill the hole left by Kessie’s exit. While things might have not worked out for him in England, the Frenchman has the ability to come good in Serie A, which could be more suited to his style and pace. With Milan likely to discuss the possibility of a deal with Tottenham, it will be interesting to see if Ndombele secures a move to Italy.
