Following a disastrous loan spell at Barcelona, Adama Traore could be on his way to joining Everton this summer.

According to Football Insider, Everton have been handed a massive boost in their pursuit of Adama Traore this summer. The Premier League outfit have been told their £10 million bid for the explosive attacker will be accepted by Wolverhampton Wanderers, who are desperately looking to offload the Spanish international in the summer transfer window.

Traore is coming on the back of a short loan spell at Barcelona. He plied his trade with the Catalans during the second half of last season, but after a promising start to his return at Camp Nou, the 26-year-old attacker could not capitalise. He failed to even score a single goal in 17 competitive appearances for the club, before returning to Molineux.

With the Spanish winger currently having just one year remaining on his current contract, Wolves are determined to sanction his sale this summer. The Midlands outfit have already signed Hwang Hee-chan permanently and have plans to keep hold of Everton target Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of the new season.

Curiously, the Toffees are also interested in securing the services of Adama Traore. Although the speedy winger has not set the stage alight over the past couple of years, he is still regarded highly due to his explosive pace and power which makes him an ideal fit for the physically astute nature of the Premier League.

Such qualities are rated highly by Frank Lampard, in particular, as the Everton coach is known for his direct and attacking style of play. It would make Adama Traore an ideal target for Everton, as the Spanish forward offers vast experience in English football and could prove to be tactically compatible under Lampard.

A fee of £10 million is quite reasonable for a player of his calibre. At the age of 26, Traore should be in his prime and just requires the right guidance to help him fulfil his potential. However, Everton may face a potential roadblock in their pursuit of the Spanish international this summer.

Despite his rapid decline over the past couple of years, Adama Traore believes he has the quality of a top-class footballer and is, therefore, eyeing a move to one of the top four teams in the Premier League. As such, Everton may have a tough time indulging in negotiations with the former Barcelona starlet this summer.
