Newcastle United have been offered the chance to sign Emmanuel Dennis and Maxwel Cornet, with the duo eyeing a swift return to the top flight.

According to Chronicle, Emmanuel Dennis and Maxwel Cornet have been offered to Newcastle United. Eddie Howe is keen on adding to his team’s attacking options and may think about signing the relegated pair, although the Magpies also have other ideas in the pipeline.

Newcastle United are keen to strengthen their squad ahead of the 2022/23 season. Eddie Howe wants his ideas executed in the transfer window as the manager continues to demand players that could improve his squad. The Magpies brought in quality players in January and could be open to a big spend in this window.

Newcastle have been linked with some high-profile players. The Tyneside outfit have secured their top defensive target by signing Sven Botman from Lille. However, Howe needs to bring in offensive players, with the wide zone and central striker’s position considered key for reinforcements.

Emmanuel Dennis and Maxwel Cornet have been offered to Newcastle, as both players eye a swift return to the Premier League. They were star performers last season for relegated duo Watford and Burnley, respectively, and could prove a shrewd additions to Howe’s squad.

Howe targetted Moussa Diaby as his primary wide attacker, but the French winger’s asking price may be deemed high by Newcastle United. Hence a move for Dennis or Cornet makes sense, with both players able to play from wide roles and centrally.

Cornet has attracted much interest from other clubs and may look to play for a team he features in regularly. Newcastle could be an interesting project, as Howe’s long-term vision could tempt the Ivory Coast international to consider a move. Much will depend on Burnley’s asking price for Cornet, who only arrived last summer from Lyon.

Similarly, Dennis will be high in demand after a terrific season with Watford, who could end up asking for a high price. Both the players may improve Newcastle’s frontline and act as strong, quality backups to existing options such as Allan Saint-Maximin and Callum Wilson.

The moves for the two relegated stars could happen once Newcastle’s pursuit of current targets concludes. The duo could be brilliant additions for Howe, who wants to break into the top six of the Premier League next season.
