Inter Milan attacker Edin Dzeko is reportedly not interested to join West Ham United this summer.

According to Tutto Mercato Web, Inter Milan centre-forward Edin Dzeko is uninterested in joining West Ham United this summer. The former AS Roma striker is reportedly a transfer target for Valencia as well, but he doesn’t want to join them too.

Dzeko joined Inter Milan from Roma last summer to replace Romelu Lukaku, who had returned to Chelsea. The 36-year-old had a fruitful season in Milan, scoring 17 goals and providing 10 assists in 49 appearances for the Nerazzurri across competitions.

However, as per the latest reports, the Belgian striker is set to seal a sensational return to Inter, leaving Dzeko’s position in doubt. Moreover, the Nerazzurri are also expected to get a deal for Juventus’ Paulo Dybala through, which can further limit the Bosnian international’s game-time.

Dzeko is thus being linked with a summer exit, with the likes of West Ham United and Valencia exploring the possibility of signing him.

West Ham United are eager to sign a centre-forward ahead of the next season as they only have Michail Antonio as the recognised striker on their roster. The Hammers are being linked with a move for several strikers, including Dzeko. But now a transfer to the London Stadium for former Manchester City seems out of the question as the striker isn’t interested in making the switch.

While he would not have been a long-term solution, Dzeko could have been a handy stop-gap signing for West Ham, given his experience and the form he has showcased in Italy in the recent seasons. However, the 36-year-old has no desire to move to London this summer.

Instead, Dzeko will only consider a move to Inter Milan’s Serie A rivals Juventus, is if the Old Lady come calling. Real Madrid are also said to be showing interest in him.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are exploring other options as well, with Chelsea’s Armando Broja emerging as a possible option. They are reportedly preparing a £30 million bid for the striker, who is also being courted by the likes of Leeds United and Everton, among others.

The guy is 36! Surely West Ham’s rebuilding process precludes people in the twilight of their careers. It is West Ham who ought to be disinterested.
