AS Roma, Sevilla rival AC Milan in Hakim Ziyech pursuit

Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Hakim Ziyech amid interest from AC Milan, AS Roma, Marseille and Sevilla, among other European giants.

A recent report from 90 min has offered an update on the future of some of the Chelsea stars including Hakim Ziyech. It appears the Premier League giants are open to offloading the Moroccan playmaker as they look to make space for newer signings ahead of the new season.

Chelsea are already on the verge of sending Romelu Lukaku back to Inter Milan on a loan deal. They are open to cashing in on Ziyech as well. The attacker appears to have no shortage of suitors either, with AC Milan among the European giants interested in securing the services of the former Ajax starlet.

Milan have been on the tail of Ziyech for quite some time now. The player was on their radar during his time at Ajax, and it seems the Rossoneri are still keen on acquiring his services ahead of the new season. With Jens Petter Hauge joining Eintracht Frankfurt on a permanent deal and questions being raised over the consistency of Alexis Saelemaekers, Ziyech could be a useful signing for the Serie A champions this summer.

Milan, though, are expecting some serious competition in the race to sign the Chelsea forward. In addition to the Rossoneri, the dynamic playmaker has been targeted by AS Roma, who are looking for creative reinforcements.

Sevilla are interested in Ziyech as well, amid uncertainty over the future of Lucas Ocampos. His exit could pave the way for Sevilla to make a move for Ziyech, with the Chelsea playmaker rated highly in Europe due to his chance creation and productivity in the final third. Apart from AC Milan, AS Roma and Sevilla, Lyon and Marseille have also expressed their interest in the 29-year-old.

As far as Chelsea are concerned, the Moroccan international does not fall into the plans of Thomas Tuchel after failing to establish himself as a first-team regular at the club. The German tactician, therefore, is looking for alternatives in the market, having recently targeted a move for Raheem Sterling.

Ziyech might not be the only player to leave Chelsea either, with the Blues also open to offers for Timo Werner. The German international has recently emerged as a shock target for Liverpool, although it won’t be surprising to see his return to the Bundesliga this summer.
