Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly offered out-of-favour midfielder Harry Winks, who is a target for Crystal Palace and Everton, to Scottish giants Rangers.

According to 90 min, Tottenham Hotspur have offered Scottish heavyweights Rangers an opportunity to sign exit-bound midfielder Harry Winks this summer. The 26-year-old is also a transfer target for Spurs’ Premier League rivals Crystal Palace and Everton.

Winks is a product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy and made his first-team debut in 2014 under then-manager Mauricio Pochettino at the age of 18. However, he would become a regular in the senior setup from 2016 onwards, and soon enough, the midfielder also broke into the England national team.

However, Winks has endured a rapid decline in stature at Tottenham over the past couple of seasons. Loss of form, lack of confidence and the change of managers has meant that the 26-year-old is no longer in the first-team picture for the Lilywhites or England.

Winks started just nine Premier League matches last season, with youngster Oliver Skipp and January signing Rodrigo Bentancur preferred over him. And now that Tottenham have also added Yves Bissouma to their roster this summer, the Englishman has fallen further down the pecking order at the club.

Tottenham are eager to sell their academy product, who has made 202 appearances for the club. And, there has been no shortage of interest in Winks. Crystal Palace have been linked with a move for the Englishman, having lost Conor Gallagher, who is back at his parent club Chelsea after a loan spell at Selhurst Park. With Luka Milivojevic also likely to depart, a new midfielder like Winks is a viable option.

More recently, Everton have also emerged as an ardent suitor for the Tottenham ace. The Toffees have begun talks with the north London club over the possibility of signing Winks. With Fabian Delph’s contract expiring and the likes of Andre Gomes and Allan expected to leave, a new midfielder would be needed at Goodison Park, making Winks a target.

However, Frank Lampard’s Everton might have to stave off competition from Rangers to sign the England star. As per 90 min, Tottenham have themselves offered Winks to the last season’s UEFA Europa League finalists this summer in their efforts to offload the midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Rangers could need reinforcements in midfield as Joe Aribo continues to be linked with a move to the Premier League. Glen Kamara has also been tipped for a move south of the border, which could force Giovanni van Bronckhorst into the market for a new midfield signing. However, it is not mentioned if the Gers hold an interest in Winks or not, although Tottenham have offered the midfielder’s services to them.

There is still plenty of time in the transfer window, and at this point, it is anyone’s guess as to where Winks might end up. But, as things stand, an exit from Tottenham is pretty much set in stone for the 26-year-old.
