Everton launch enquiry for West Ham target Keane Lewis-Potter

Everton have enquired about Keane Lewis-Potter, with the Toffees likely viewing the Hull City prodigy as a possible replacement for Richarlison.

According to the Daily Mail, Everton may have joined the chase for Keane Lewis-Potter, amid interest from Premier League rivals West Ham United. The Hull City winger is in high demand and Frank Lampard could consider him as a possible replacement for Richarlison, who could depart.

Everton face a tricky summer window, as Frank Lampard has to make important decisions to strengthen his squad after the brush with the relegation battle last season. The Toffees need at least two midfielders and a winger if Richarlison departs.

The Brazilian is the subject of interest from London sides Tottenham and Chelsea. The Lilywhites are keen on the winger, with an offer expected to land on the Toffees table imminently. Everton could receive a significant windfall from the forward’s sale, which they could re-invest in to build their squad.

Lampard is eyeing a move for Harry Winks from Tottenham to strengthen the midfield. Meanwhile, Keane Lewis-Potter has emerged as the latest target for Everton to bolster their attack. The 21-year-old is valued at around £17 million by Transfermarkt, which would be affordable for Everton.

While Lampard may go for a more experienced option as Richarlison’s replacement, someone like Lewis-Potter would increase their squad depth. Moreover, they could offer the Hull City star a similar role that Anthony Gordon currently has in this Everton side.

The Toffees have enquired about his availability and could make a prospective offer in the coming days. Lewis-Potter is primed for an exciting future, with several other clubs keeping tabs, including Leeds United. Jesse Marsch is keen on bringing the young star to add more quality to his attacking options.

West Ham are also keen and by far are the strongest contenders for the winger. The offer of European football at London Stadium may prove too hard to turn down for Lewis-Potter, although Lampard’s promise of an exciting team with young stars could also be tempting for the 21-year-old prospect.

The Hull City ace has been tipped to become a solid player in the top flight, and it may be in this window that he leaps the next level. Whether he will end up joining Everton or West Ham United remains the question.
