Liverpool have received offers for Neco Williams from Nottingham Forest and Fulham, with the Reds ready to sell the 21-year-old right-back.

According to LFC News Room, Nottingham Forest and Fulham are preparing bids for Neco Williams, with Liverpool ready to sell the 21-year-old right-back. The newly-promoted Premier League clubs are keen to bolster their options and are eyeing the Welsh international to add quality to their squads.

The biggest challenge for newly-promoted clubs is to avoid relegation. In the last few years, many such teams have succumbed to the pressure of the Premier League, and there are two outfits here that do not wish to achieve the same outcome.

Fulham, who were promoted to the top-flight after winning the EFL Championship, are keen to sign several players this summer. Marco Silva is eager to bolster his squad with quality players who could help the Cottagers fight a relegation battle in the Premier League.

The same goes for Nottingham Forest, who made the grade into the Premier League after winning the promotion playoffs. Both clubs are at a crossroads and are chasing a common target, with Neco Williams emerging as a potential signing for the clubs.

The Liverpool starlet has been developing efficiently at the club and was previously primed for a big future. However, with the Reds agreeing a move for Calvin Ramsay, they consider the 18-year-old Scottish prodigy as the perfect backup to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

Liverpool’s transfer decision means Williams could be allowed to leave, and they might see an opportunity to raise funds with his sale. The Merseyside giants are reportedly not interested in a loan deal, and they would prefer to sell him outright to interested parties. The report claims Liveprool would demand around £15 million for the 21-year-old.

Fulham were reportedly ahead of Nottingham Forest in the race to sign Williams, but both clubs have tabled their offers to understand Liverpool’s demands. The bids are understood to be in the region of £12-15 million, which may appease Liverpool.

Much will depend on Williams’s preference at this stage, as he could evaluate the pros and cons of signing for either newly-promoted Premier League club. In any case, the 21-year-old Liverpool defender is set for a summer departure, and he should get plenty of playing time at either team.
