Leeds United and West Ham are among the clubs interested in Red Bull Salzburg forward Junior Adamu, valued at only €10 million.

According to Sky Germany, Red Bull Salzburg are facing a battle to keep hold of Junior Adamu. The exciting forward has become a sought-after prospect in the market and could follow Karim Adeyemi towards the exit door at Salzburg this coming summer.

Leeds United and West Ham are among the Premier League clubs interested in the services of Adamu. But they are set to face stiff competition from three Bundesliga clubs in the form of Hertha Berlin, Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig, who are at the top of the Red Bull food chain.

In recent years, Salzburg has produced a number of star talents. Starting with Sadio Mane, the Austrian outfit has been the home of Patson Daka, Erling Haaland and Karim Adeyemi, who joined Borussia Dortmund earlier in the summer.

With Adeyemi gone, the focus is naturally on Junior Adamu to continue the tradition and become one of the most sought-after attackers in Europe. With nine goals and five assists, he is far from an established star at the moment, but the 21-year-old Austrian has made a solid impression with his pace and physical prowess in the final third.

It has alerted a host of clubs across Europe, including Leeds United. The Whites have recently roped in Brenden Aaronson from Red Bull Salzburg this summer and are hoping to make another coup by signing Adamu, who could serve as an ideal alternative for Patrick Bamford.

West Ham are another Premier League club looking to sign Adamu. With Michail Antonio currently their only recognised option in the number nine slot, David Moyes is desperate to sign a centre-forward. The Hammers have already been linked with a move for Armando Broja.

But Adamu could be a cost-effective alternative, as the report from Sky suggests the forward could be available for as low as €10 million this summer. It would make him nothing less than a bargain for the two Premier League clubs, although a move to Bundesliga should not be ruled out either.

A move to Germany has proven to be quite fruitful for Salzburg players in the recent past, and Adamu could be keen on following the same path, as he looks to carve out a place for himself in European football in the coming years.
