Udinese centre-back Rodrigo Becao is reportedly attracting interest from Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

According to Tutto Udinese, Udinese centre-back Rodrigo Becao is attracting interest from the Premier League, with Tottenham Hotspur and Everton both keeping tabs. The 26-year-old still has two years left on his contract with the Italian club but could leave this summer.

Becao joined Udinese from Brazilian side EC Bahia in 2019 and has since grown into an integral component of the squad. He has made 102 appearances for the club, also scoring four goals. In the recently-concluded season, the Brazilian made 36 appearances across competitions, helping the club finish 12th in the league.

Becao’s assured performances in the centre of defence have caught the eyes of the Premier League duo of Tottenham Hotspur and Everton. Both the English clubs are in the market for a centre-back signing after largely contrasting league seasons.

While Tottenham managed to finish fourth following a late charge from Antonio Conte’s men, Everton only just managed to avoid relegation, finishing 16th in the league. The north London side can provide players with Champions League football for next season, which gives them the upper hand in a few of their transfer dealings.

Tottenham have reportedly made Inter Milan defender Alessandro Bastoni their primary target as Conte wishes to reunite with the Italy defender. Bastoni, however, seems to be hesitant about leaving Italy and could eventually decide against joining Tottenham. So, the north Londoners are keeping their eye on alternatives, with Becao emerging as one such option.

Meanwhile, Everton have recently been linked with a free transfer for Burnley’s James Tarkowski. The Toffees are confident of landing the Englishman’s signature, with his contract with the Clarets expiring this month. Brentford’s Kristoffer Ajer is also on their radar with Frank Lampard eyeing multiple defensive signings after a torrid campaign last time out. Becao, thus has emerged as a viable target.

Tottenham and Everton could make a move for Becao should they fail to sign their primary targets this summer. Udinese reportedly value the defender at €20 million, which none of the two interested parties should have a problem paying.
