Gabriel Jesus’s agents have reportedly offered the Manchester City forward to Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid over a possible move this summer.
Spanish journalist Anton Meana revealed in his appearance on Cadena SER’s Carrusel Deportivo that Gabriel Jesus’s representatives have offered him to Atletico Madrid and Real Madrid. While Los Rojiblancos will not take up the offer to sign the Manchester City forward in the summer transfer window, Real Madrid might be more receptive.
Gabriel Jesus is at a crossroads in his career after years of inconsistency at Manchester City. The Brazilian forward had joined the Citizens as a promising prospect brimming with potential but has struggled to deliver the goods week in week out. The 25-year-old had enjoyed a solid 2021/22 campaign with 13 goals and 12 assists in 41 appearances across all competitions.
But Jesus’s time at Manchester City might be up as Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez will arrive at the Etihad in the summer transfer window. And with the player’s contract set to run out next year, a departure from Manchester City looks likely, especially with his representatives offering him to Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid.
Jesus has reportedly emerged on one La Liga giant in Barcelona. But he could be a good fit at Real Madrid amid uncertainties surrounding the futures of Luka Jovic and Mariano Diaz. The two out of favour strikers could leave Real Madrid this summer, thereby necessitating the need for a new striker.
Jesus’s ability to play across the frontline makes the Manchester City forward a viable target for Real Madrid. As for Atletico Madrid, with Luis Suarez set to depart from the Wanda Metropolitano as a free agent, a new striker needs to arrive at the Spanish club in the summer transfer window.
Jesus could have been an option worth considering for Atletico Madrid, but the Colchoneros have no interest in launching the offensive for the Manchester City forward. On the other hand, newly-crowned La Liga champions Real Madrid are more receptive to the offer.

But Jesus seems likely to remain in the Premier League, with recent reports claiming he has agreed to personal terms with Arsenal. Tottenham Hotspur might also attempt to prise him away from Manchester City, but Arsenal might be his likelier destination. However, Real Madrid’s emergence could change things. It will be interesting to see if the Merengues look to sign Jesus this summer.
